I'm Atit Amin, the person behind Weekend Projects Studios. Former college football player, Weddings were never a side hustle for me during college. College always felt like a part-time thing because of weddings. I had an addiction to make people smile and finding my calling for this wasn’t easy. Growing up, I never seemed to fit in my surroundings or find something I’m good at. My brother and I always made goofy home videos, and I always admired reliving moments from photos and videos. Always showing off my travel films that I shot and edited on my iPhone, one of my teachers asked me if I could edit a motivational video for our school assembly. I gave it a shot, put all my effort into it and on the end I put “Film by Atit Amin.” The end of the video the entire school cheered my name and that moment on I just knew this is something worth doing.

I never outsource anything, all photos and films are completely edited by me and me only because I take pride on end when it states “Film by Atit Amin.”
I don’t believe that a overseas editor or Ai can do my work. My style is very different and I truly believe in my craft. With that being said, this job can’t be done alone of course. Talent is something that is truly needed to get this job done my way. I believe in collaboration over convention. That's why I don't have full-time employees. Instead, I bring together a collective of talented artists who are experts in their craft. Each person brings their unique style and creativity to my weddings, ensuring that every shoot is a masterpiece in its own right. I spend a lot of time recruiting the only best in this field.

I actually hated weddings when I first started because everything seemed to have the same boring, slow fake cinematic look. I thought this was the standard every wanted and I was so tired of seeing it. I almost left this industry. Inspired by many European Videographers whom have fun traditional style. I took a chance and gamble on doing something new and different. Creating my own style by embracing an underdog spirit, and not looking at what others are doing. I’m proud of how unique and different my films are. I truly feel like it’s inspiring and redefining the industry. No more to that boring shit, Let’s create something thats actually inspires others to be original.

This isn’t a television commercial or feature film; these are WEDDINGS about a ceremony of two incredible couples coming together in celebration. Ultimately, I'm not the one watching your video on your anniversary, so it's crucial that these photos and films meet your standards, not just mine. My goal is to make the camera disappear, so your genuine moments take center stage. When I say my best friends are my past wedding clients, it might sound unbelievable, but it's the truth. Your stories become a part of my journey, and your happiness is my greatest reward.
